I am Emily, I in the 7th grade, and I am 12. I love cheerleading, singing, and when I grow up I want to be a psychiatrist. I am one of the authors of this website, Blogging About Books. I love to read, although I don’t do a lot of it. My favorite author is Neil Gaiman. I have read three books by him: M is for Magic, Coraline, The Graveyard Book, and I am about to read Odd and the Frost Giants. His books hold a dark, yet magical element which I enjoy to read. I have read M is for Magic and Coraline both at least four times. My favorite genre of books is realistic fiction. I like reading books that I can relate to, but reading books I can not relate to is also fun because it is like living another life. I enjoy scary movies, I have never watched a movie that was to scary.
I learned how to read in preschool. The first books I read were the Biscuit books. These books consisted of pages with about one sentence on each page, but I enjoyed it all the same.
I am currently reading the Pretty Little Liars series. I would like to start reading The Hunger Games. I think that reading/contributing to this blog with help me grow as a reader because maybe by taking part in this blog I will write assignments that will make me think deeper about my reading and writing. My name is Sierra. My dad makes vinyl graphics, and my mom makes jewelry. I like to read and draw and I also like to knit, and bake. When I grow up, I want to be a professional cake maker, like on the show ‘ Cake boss ’.
I have two dogs, and two cats. My dog’s names are Veda and Lucy. Veda is a miniature pincher, Lucy is part chow-chow and part pomeranian. My cat’s names are Ludwig Van and Lo-Pan. Ludwig Van is a Maine-coon cat, Lo-Pan is part Maine-coon, and we’re not sure if he’s part persian ( We think Lo-Pan could possibly be part persian because he’s so fluffy! ).

Hi my name is Timmy and I am a 7th grader and my favorite book is the kid who invented the popsicle and I am 13 years old and I have a little brother named Brennan he was born on December 26 2011 and he is 4 months old. I was born on May 3rd 1999 at Maine cost memorial hospital and I love basketball and I like base ball I have been playing baseball for 3 years and my dream is to be an actor. My fear is being a hostage in a bank.
When I was 3 I got my first dirt bike and it was a Honda 50cc four stroke and it was white and it was small.When I was six or seven I got another Dirt Bike and it was bigger and it was a T90cc four stroke and it was blue and now I have a KX 65 Kawasaki 2 stroke. I have a fiberglass 12 foot boat and it has a 9.9 motor on the back of it and I had it for 2 years and I still have it today and one day when I was riding my 50cc Dirt Bike my dog Rex was biting the front tire and he was doing for quite a while now and it caused me to crash my dirt bike and I had a scab on my shoulder.
In the summer time I like to go swimming with my grandparents and my grandfather has a speedboat so I can go tubing my grandfather has a flat tube and in the fall I like to play video games and in the winter I like to go snow tubing and go ice fishing with my grandfather and me and my grandfather take our ice shacks behind a island and when i was 10 I drove my grandfathers ATV on the ice and I like to drive my grandfathers snowmobile on the ice and we go ice fishing on Donell's pond and that is about MYSELF thank you for listening.

Hello, my name is Tim. I am one of the new editors of the blog. I am 12 years old. I will be 13 in a few days on May 16. I am in seventh grade.
Here are some of the things I like to do: Play Baseball, play video games, just being in the woods, riding my bike, riding my minibike, riding my skateboard, shooting a gun. I have many pets, and they are three snakes: Sassy, Pixie and Carlieto. I have a pet mouse named snowball. I have 5 gold fish and a algae eater all named after the cast of NCIS. I also have 2 dogs a pit bull Shadow and a Miniature Dachshund named Ity Bitty Short Stuff.
My favorite genres are fantasy, historical fiction and realistic fiction. My favorite book is THE LAST OLYMPIAN because it has a lot of new twists on it to make you want to read the next series. My favorite movies are The Mechanic, Assassination games, Never Back Down, Never Back Down 2 The Beat down and Gone in 60 Seconds.What I want to gain from this blog is to become a better reader and find some good books.

Heya! I’m Casey and I am a new blogger to this blog. I am in the seventh grade, and I love shopping and hanging out with friends. If I can do both, it’s even better. I also love to go on the internet to talk to friends and do some tumbling on Tumblr ( a blogging site where you re-blog pictures, and post statuses, you can also upload your own picture or pictures and blog it. )
I have many favorite books but I will only name one. One of my favorite books is The Chinese Cinderella. I highly recommend it to all girls. It is a memoir about a girl who had been abused by her stepmother . The reason it is called The Chinese Cinderella is because the setting is in China, and she has a stepmother who abuses her day after day and nobody did anything about it. They just sat there and let her get beat. They said she was the cause of her mother’s death because her mother died after giving birth to her. She had finally stuck up for herself, and got herself in some major trouble. She got sent away and lived the rest of her life away from her evil witch of a stepmother.
From this blog, I hope to give people suggestions about what books are good and not so good. I also hope people do the same for me and give me some good suggestions about what I should read.

I love this series (although Reached doesn’t come out till 11/13/2012, which is actually the day before my b-day), It is about a futuristic world where people are assigned a person to marry. It reminds me of the Hunger Games because there's a love triangle involved between her best friend and someone she never thought she would be with. If you love the Hunger Games, you’ll love this series too.
I love this book because it’s a bit on the challenging side; you need to pay attention to every detail to get the story... otherwise you get really confused), and it’s in general an awesome book. This book is about a girl named Claire who is a normal girl whose world turns upside down by her future husband named Henry (Henry is a time traveler, hence the book title The Time Traveler’s Wife). If you're in for a good,challenging,time travel love story, then you should try this out.

Hey Peoples, my name is Haley A. I’m a 13 year old in seventh grade and I’m one of the many authors of this blog. I love to read and I also love to do sports. I prefer to play softball, & cross country. I also love to hang with friends, family, and my dogs(BJ & Sarge) and cats (Shy & Kitten). My favorite genre of movies is probably romantic comedy and my favorite book genre is probably a Science Fiction Romance Series/Novel. The best book I ever read read is well.....Delirium. DUH!!!!!!!!
Delirium, I have recently read and it’s AMAZING!!!!!!!! I haven’t read Pandemonium yet though. If anyone knows where I can get a copy please tell me so. Delirium's setting is an twisted version of the U.S.A in the future where love is considered a disease called deleria. The U.S. finds a cure for “deleria” and it is required for people 18 and older. This book follows the point of view of the new U.S. from a girl named Lena who’s journey through this twisted world is changed by someone she never expected. Everyone should read this series like ASAP!!!

My favorite genre of movies are romances and comedy. Some of my favorite movies are The Lucky One (#1), The Hunger Games (#2), and An Unfinished Life (#3). I would say The Lucky One and The Hunger Games tie though. But when it comes to reading I really am open to reading anything! Sci-Fi, realistic fiction, Fantasy, and nonfiction. I love it all.....except poetry. I DISLIKE poetry. I just don’t find it interesting. But that is just my opinion.
I have so many favorite books. A few of them are The Hunger Games, Gallagher Girl series, and Chinese Cinderella. Authors? Well, they are Ally Carter, Ally Condie, Suzanne Collins, Nicholas Sparks, Jenny Han, and Stephanie Meyers. I hope that you all will take in to consideration to reading some of these authors books!
